Fitness & Health
Over the years, I have had a string of health issues that eventually landed me in Florida. What I recommend everyone do is go to an allergist and get a blood panel done. It was really help you in the long run with your health and keep you from consuming foods that may have a detriment to your health. My story with health started when I turned 28. I started to notice I would have long sessions of heart burn that would last hours. Initially I wasn't sure what it was so I went to my doctor which of course recommended Tums and heart burn medication. When that didn't work, I tried chiropractic and accupunture which actually helped for awhile until it didn't. It was only when I saw an allergist down the street that I decided to get an allergy panel and low and behold the core of my issue. Turns out I was allergic to carrots, certain nuts, and I was gluten intolerant. I was essentially harming my body every time I had a meal. When I cut certain foods out of my system, I saw improve in my GI tract and noticed less issues in my health overall. Before, I would have a sandwich or pasta and I would get incredibly sleepy and tired. Gluten it seems became a rouphee to me and limiting it would keep my energy levels up. I think living a lived without inflamation is the goal.
Now onto fitness. I have always been very active in my life. In highschool I played tennis and when I got out of college, I would cycle and ride the MS150 tour. I did that tour 4 times but due to life choices, I ended up stopping my cycling life. These days I try to go to the gym 3-5 days a week. It's really important as I think it keeps my mental and physical health in check. Gym life for me means having a body that doesn't feel sluggish and is in a shape that allows you for other growth in your life.
